Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must have completed their freshman year at an accredited college or university in the central Ohio chapter area (Franklin and contiguous counties). 
• Candidates must be enrolled or accepted in the term immediately following the award (generally fall term), either full- or part-time. 
• Candidates must have a minimum 3.0 grade point average.
• Candidates must be “students of merit” who are interested in a career in the private security, law enforcement, or criminal justice professions.
• Candidates must attend one of the following colleges or universities:
  • Capital University
  • Central Ohio Technical College
  • Columbus State Community College
  • Denison University
  • Franklin University
  • Hocking Technical College
  • Kenyon College
  • Muskingum University
  • Ohio Dominican University
  • Otterbein University
  • Ohio Wesleyan University
  • Ohio University
  • The Ohio State University
  • Zane State College
  • Candidates may be ASIS members or non-members.
